La marque Japonaise G-Shock nous propose une nouvelle collaboration avec l’artiste Singapourien Jahan Loh. Ce nouveau projet s’articule autour d’une collection composée de 4 montres. Celle ci s’accorde parfaitement avec la saison du Nouvel An lunaire Chinois.
J’avais eu l’occasion de vous parler de Jahan Loh lors d’un article à propos d’une collaboration entre le shop Limited EDT et la marque de sport Puma (Article disponible ICI). Cet artiste talentueux venant de la street culture a su évoluer et faire évoluer son art vers un style unique, coloré et plein d’imagination.
Afin de réaliser cette collaboration, Jahan Loh s’est inspiré de la culture Chinoise d’antan. En effet, cette série « Celestial Guardians » incorpore quatre symboles uniques, représentant chacun une bête céleste: le dragon azur, le phoenix vermillon, le tigre blanc et la tortue noire. Chaque montre a une couleur de base différente: rouge, noir, bleu et blanc, correspondant à des saisons spécifiques, des points cardinaux, et des quadrants du ciel.
La collection Celestial Guardians sera distribuée périodiquement avec une montre par mois de Février à Mai en commençant par la Dragon Azure, la White Tiger, la Vermillion Phoenix et la Black Turtle.

The Japanese brand G-Shock offers us a new collaboration with the Singaporean artist Jahan Loh. This new project is based on a collection of 4 watches. This one fits perfectly with the Chinese Lunar New Year season.
I had the opportunity to talk to you about Jahan Loh in an article about a collaboration between the Limited EDT shop and the Puma sports brand (Article available HERE). This talented artist from the street culture has evolved and evolve his art to a unique style, colorful and full of imagination.
In order to realize this collaboration, Jahan Loh was inspired by the Chinese culture of yesteryear. Indeed, this series « Celestial Guardians » incorporates four unique symbols, each representing a celestial beast: the azure dragon, the vermillion phoenix, the white tiger and the black turtle. Each watch has a different base color: red, black, blue and white, corresponding to specific seasons, cardinal points, and quadrants of the sky.
The Celestial Guardians collection will be periodically distributed with one watch per month from February to May starting with the Azure Dragon, the White Tiger, the Vermillion Phoenix and the Black Turtle.
