Ce jeudi 9 mars 2023, la salle du Métronum de Toulouse a accueilli YOUV DEE, un artiste novateur qui excelle dans un nouvel univers du rap pouvant être qualifié de trap-metal. Organisé par Bleu Citron, le concert du rappeur rocker du 95, très attendu par ses fans, a tenu toutes ses promesses.
YOUV DEE est actif sur la scène du rap français depuis une dizaine d’années. Son style particulier a pour but de faire revivre le rock et de briser les frontières entre les genres musicaux. Aimant la bonne musique dans son ensemble, il aime mélanger les styles pour créer son univers combinant le rap et le rock. Loin des outfits des rappeurs lambda, Youv Dee assume totalement son esthétique pop punk et ses choix audacieux. Son univers musical est inspiré des sonorités rap US d’artistes comme Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert et Trippie Redd (avec lequel il a fait un feat.). Youv Dee a amené en France une nouvelle vague, un nouveau souffle qui n’avait encore jamais été vus dans le rap auparavant.
Le show a commencé à 20h20 avec une 1ère partie assurée par RYMZ et ses acolytes, des artistes de Montréal qui proposent un style musical influencé par le rap old school et le heavy metal. RYMZ a expliqué au public avoir rencontré Youv Dee à Montréal lors d’un show. Ayant tout de suite accroché, le jeune français a participé à leur tournée dans des petits villages du Québec. Youv Dee les a ensuite invités à se produire en 1ère partie de sa tournée 2023.
Pendant 30 minutes, RYMZ et ses musiciens ont bien chauffé la salle en jouant une dizaine de morceaux remplis d’énergie.
A 21h15, YOUV DEE, le ‘pur produit du 9.5’ et ses complices : Assy en backeur, Lyldrum à la batterie, Maxime Christe à la guitare et Dee Huang à la basse, arrivent sur scène devant des spectateurs chaleureux et prêts à f*utre le feu. Un public ‘Grave chaud’ dixit Youv.
Obligé de se déplacer avec une béquille à cause d’un accident au pied, le rappeur parisien explique qu’il ne voulait absolument pas annuler le concert malgré cet imprévu médical. Le public lui crie son remerciement !
L’entrée se fait sur un audio d’un appel téléphonique de YOUV DEE avec son manager qui introduit l’un de ses nouveaux morceaux (qui est aussi le titre de son nouvel album) : « Pas d’accord ! ». Il enchaîne avec les hits « Dollars » et « Promesse » puis parle avec le public et lui annonce la sortie de son 2ème album : « Pas d’accord ! » à minuit (vendredi 10 mars 2023).
Dans une ambiance très énergique, la soirée se poursuit avec des bangers comme « A quoi ça sert », « Démons », « C’est comment » et le nouveau « Suis-moi ».
Le public saute sur les riffs de guitare et le rythme de la grosse caisse. Il tape des mains, hurle, assure l’ambiance dans la salle du Métronum. Youv prend ensuite sa guitare blanche nacré pour le morceau « Longtime », puis parle un peu avec les spectateurs en mode ‘pote’ et il joue « Rock’n’Roll » qui, très logiquement, finit en pogo général.
Après avoir remercié le public encore une fois, l’artiste livre son morceau « Fallait pas » et présente sa team de musiciens. A la suite de l’enchaînement avec « Casper », les artistes lâchent leurs instruments de musique et ça part en rythme electro. Au cours de la suite du concert, le public en feu s’est encore lancé dans des pogos et YOUV DEE a partagé des sons de son nouvel album comme « Sortir de ma tête » et l’inédit « Zig zag ».
ASSY, qui va bientôt sortir son projet solo, a joué un son, avant que YOUV DEE revienne avec les fameux « Les Sous », « Stop » et « Ceci Cela ».
Pour finir le concert, YOUV s’assoit et demande aux spectateurs d’allumer les lampes de leur téléphone pour le morceau « Poseur ».
Le public, qui est toujours autant enthousiaste, fait revenir l’artiste et sa team sur scène pour jouer d’autres morceaux phares de Youv Dee : « j’rêve », « Opening » et « Feeling », l’ambiance est top.
Pour le 2ème rappel, YOU DEE clôture véritablement la soirée à 22h30, avec sa béquille (qu’il avait jetée en coulisses depuis un certain temps) et le morceau « Slay ».
Le concert de YOUV DEE au Metronum de Toulouse était un event très cool et fou à la fois, intéressant et enrichissant. Le rappeur parisien a déjà conquis un bon nombre d’amateurs de rap, rock et metal, et il y a fort à parier que sa popularité va croître de façon très nette durant les mois et années à venir. YOUV DEE et sa team continuent leur tournée dans les villes de Brest, Montpellier, Marseille, Lyon, Bruxelles, Nantes et Caen, avant un concert phare au Bataclan de Paris le 13 avril 2023. YOUV DEE has been active on the French rap scene for about ten years. His particular style aims to revive rock and break the boundaries between musical genres. Loving good music as a whole, he likes to mix styles to create his universe combining rap and rock. Far from the outfits of lambda rappers, Youv Dee totally assumes his pop punk aesthetic and his daring choices. His musical universe is inspired by the US rap sounds of artists like Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert and Trippie Redd (with whom he did a feat.). Youv Dee brought to France a new wave, a new breath that had never been seen in rap before.
The show started at 8:20 pm with a first part provided by RYMZ and his acolytes, artists from Montreal who propose a musical style influenced by old school rap and heavy metal. RYMZ explained to the audience that he met Youv Dee in Montreal during a show. The young Frenchman was immediately hooked and participated in their tour in small villages in Quebec. Youv Dee then invited them to perform as the first part of his 2023 tour.
For 30 minutes, RYMZ and his musicians warmed up the room by playing a dozen songs full of energy.
At 21:15 pm, YOUV DEE, the ‘pure product of the 9.5’ and his accomplices : Assy in backeur, Lyldrum in the drums, Maxime Christe in the guitar and Dee Huang in the bass, arrive on stage in front of warm spectators and ready to put the fire. A public ‘very hot’ dixit Youv.
Obliged to move with a crutch because of an accident to the foot, the Parisian rapper explains that he absolutely did not want to cancel the concert in spite of this medical unforeseen. The public shouts its thanks to him !
The entrance is done on an audio of a phone call of YOUV DEE with his manager who introduces one of his new songs (which is also the title of his new album) : « Pas d’accord ! ». He continues with the hits « Dollars » and « Promesse » then speaks with the public and announces to him the release of his 2nd album : « Pas d’accord ! » at midnight (Friday March 10, 2023).
In a very energetic atmosphere, the evening continues with bangers like « A quoi ça sert », « Démons », « C’est comment » and the new « Suis-moi ».
The audience jumps on the guitar riffs and the rhythm of the bass drum. They clap their hands, scream, and assure the atmosphere in the Metronum. Youv then takes his pearly white guitar for the song « Longtime », then speaks a little with the spectators in mode ‘buddy’ and he plays « Rock’n’Roll » which, very logically, finishes in general pogo.
After thanking the audience once again, the artist delivers his song « Fallait pas » and presents his team of musicians. Following the sequence with « Casper », the artists drop their musical instruments and it starts in electro rhythm. During the rest of the concert, the audience on fire launched into more pogos and YOUV DEE shared sounds from his new album like « sortir de ma tête » and the exclusive « zig zag ».
ASSY, who will soon release his solo project, played a sound, before YOUV DEE came back with the famous « Les Sous », « Stop » and « Ceci Cela ».
To end the show, YOUV sat down and asked the audience to turn on the phone lights for the track « Poseur ».
The public, which is always so enthusiastic, makes the artist and his team come back on stage to play other key tracks of Youv Dee : « j’Reve », « Opening » and « Feeling », the atmosphere is top.
For the 2nd recall, YOU DEE really closes the evening at 22:30 pm with his crutch (which he had thrown in the backstage for a while) and the song « Slay ».
The YOUV DEE concert at the Metronum in Toulouse was a very cool and crazy event, interesting and rewarding. The Parisian rapper has already conquered a good number of rap, rock and metal fans, and it’s a safe bet that his popularity will grow significantly in the months and years to come. YOUV DEE and his team continue their tour in the cities of Brest, Montpellier, Marseille, Lyon, Brussels, Nantes and Caen, before a landmark concert at the Bataclan in Paris on April 13, 2023.
