Habitué à des collabs axées sur le streetwear, le détaillant italien ONE BLOCK DOWN élargit son champs d’action et dévoile une nouvelle association plutôt surprenante. Le shop a fait équipe avec la marque de couteau OPINEL pour apporter sa touche au fameux N°08.
La marque française OPINEL est née en 1890 dans un petit village de Savoie où Joseph Opinel a inventé le couteau de poche qui porte son nom.
L’entreprise OPINEL, basée à Chambéry au cœur des Alpes, est toujours dirigée par les descendants du créateur et fabrique toujours des articles dont la qualité fait la renommée mondiale de la marque française depuis plus de 130 ans.
La boutique italienne ONE BLOCK DOWN a donné un nouveau look au légendaire couteau OPINEL N°08.
Cette pièce apparaît entièrement de couleur noire. Tous ses éléments arborent cette teinte, de l’emblématique anneau de sécurité VIROBLOC inventé par Marcel Opinel en 1955, au manche en hêtre et la lame OPINEL traditionnelle en forme de Yatagan en acier inoxydable modifié Sandvik 12C27. Afin d’affirmer la collab, ce couteau est personnalisé avec une impression blanche en relief « ONE BLOCK DOWN est. 2009 Italy » sur le manche. La lame conserve sa gravure classique OPINEL Inox et le manche comprend un lien en cuir naturel.
La campagne du couteau collaboratif a été tournée à Paris, en 3 petites scènes distinctes qui représentent l’histoire et la correspondance entre OPINEL et ONE BLOCK DOWN.
Le couteau Opinel N°08 by One Block Down sera disponible le 5 octobre 2022, exclusivement dans la boutique ONE BLOCK DOWN de Paris, au 96 rue Beaubourg dans le 3ème arrondissement. Let’s go !

The shop has teamed up with the knife brand OPINEL to bring its touch to the famous N°08.The French brand OPINEL was born in 1890 in a small village in Savoy where Joseph Opinel invented the pocket knife that bears his name.
The OPINEL company, based in Chambéry in the heart of the Alps, is still run by the descendants of the creator and still manufactures items whose quality made the French brand world famous for over 130 years.
The Italian store ONE BLOCK DOWN has given a new look to the legendary OPINEL knife N°08.
This piece appears entirely in black. All its elements are in this shade, from the iconic VIROBLOC safety ring invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, to the beechwood handle and the traditional OPINEL Yatagan-shaped blade in Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. To affirm the collab, this knife is personalized with a white embossed print « ONE BLOCK DOWN est. 2009 Italy » on the handle. The blade retains its classic OPINEL stainless steel engraving and the handle includes a natural leather tie.
The collaborative knife campaign was shot in Paris, in 3 separate small scenes that represent the history and correspondence between OPINEL and ONE BLOCK DOWN.
The Opinel Knife N°08 by One Block Down will be available on October 5, 2022, exclusively in the ONE BLOCK DOWN store in Paris, at 96 rue Beaubourg in the 3rd arrondissement. Let’s go !
