La salle de spectacle du REX de Toulouse est réputée pour accueillir des artistes iconiques de la scène internationale. Après l’excellent concert du groupe ONYX au mois de septembre dernier, ce lieu mythique de la ville rose annonce le show de LORD APEX , organisé par Regarts, pour le mois de mars prochain.
Shaeem Wright aka Lord Apex est un rappeur londonien qui allie avec brio style old school et prods planantes concoctées par des producteurs reconnus.
Lord Apex est un personnage rare, avec une connaissance musicale riche et un choix de collaboration varié de producteurs, musiciens, artistes et DJs qui se ressent dans ses sons.
Ses influences s’étendent au-delà des limites de la musique elle-même, on reconnaît des sons de Madlib, J Dilla et MFDOOM. Le rappeur britannique a couronné son année 2022 d’un coup d’éclat que seuls des artistes comme Madlib avaient réussi auparavant. Son album en collaboration avec le producteur brésilien El Lif lui a permis de toucher son public le plus large, avec des légendes du rap local comme Akira Presidente, Febem et le rappeur en devenir Sain. Lord Apex a également été au près de ses fans en se produisant lors des 1ers festivals Primavera d’Amérique latine au Brésil, en Argentine et au Chili.
Lord Apex s’inscrit dans une scène rap britannique dense, mais à travers ses mots et son paysage sonore, il apparaît comme le pont qui relie tous ceux qui apprécient par-dessus tout la musicalité. The British rapper crowned his 2022 with a coup that only artists like Madlib had managed before. His collaborative album with Brazilian producer El Lif enabled him to reach his widest possible audience, featuring local rap legends such as Akira Presidente, Febem and up-and-coming rapper Sain.
