Vendredi 4 mai 2024, le talentueux rappeur WarEnd a terminé son EMC Tour à la maison ! à Toulouse, dans la salle du Metronum. Un concert très attendu par tous les fans locaux, organisé par Bleu Citron et qui affichait ‘Complet’. Pour assurer la 1ère partie de ce concert phare, WarEnd avait invité son ami, un autre rappeur toulousain aux multiples influences : WISLEY.
Avant même l’ouverture des portes à 20h, la foule impatiente se pressait devant l’entrée de la salle de spectacle et formait une très longue file d’attente.
Dans la cour entre l’entrée et la salle du Metronum, WarEnd – ou plutôt son double ‘ John’– a accueilli ses fans enfermé dans une cage. Un geste artistique qui fait partie intégrante de l’univers de ce rappeur unique, multicartes, ‘hors-normes’.
Dès 20h20, le fameux DJ toulousain @swaveypapi a chauffé la salle pendant un gros quart d’heure en jouant des bangers de rap français et US comme « Chasse à l’homme » de Niska, « 10 12 14 Bureau » de Kalash Criminel ou encore « FE!N » de Travis Scott.
Le public était dans un très bon état d’esprit pour l’arrivée émouvante de WISLEY sur scène à 20h40.
Le rappeur au style riche et hybride a tout d’abord joué son titre hyper personnel « Wilfried », qui est aussi le nom de son dernier EP (disponible ICI), et l’a enchaîné avec « La lettre ». Après s’être dévoilé avec ces 2 premiers sons auprès d’un public qui ne le connaîtrait peut être pas encore, l’artiste a commencé à mettre le feu au Metronum en livrant les morceaux rythmés, entraînants et entêtants : « Olympus » et « SOS ».
Wisley a ensuite joué « Cœur à la fête », puis un inédit qui est prêt à sortir « Rien à perdre », avant de finir son show avec le banger « C’est Comment », qui a instantanément été repris par le public et déclenché un pogo dans la salle.
Après l’excellente première partie du rappeur aux nombreuses émotions, le public était hyper chaud pour le concert tant attendu de WarEnd.
A 21h20, la foule s’est mise à scander le nom de WarEnd afin de le faire venir sur scène. 5 minutes plus tard : quelques notes de piano, une ambiance sombre et les mots « C’est War, là c’est dur d’être concentré » déchaînent la foule !
WarEnd est arrivé sur scène avec son acolyte, Juice, le DJ et danseur à l’énergie communicative. Avant de lancer le 1er son, le rappeur a confié au public qu’il est heureux d’être à la maison, a expliqué la signification de « EMC » (« Etats Modifiés de Conscience ») et qu’il souhaitait l’ emmener dans son monde le temps du concert. WarEnd a également prévenu la présence de ‘Surprises’ au cours de cette soirée très spéciale !
Le show a été travaillé comme une pièce de théâtre. Sur la scène, un écran accompagnait WarEnd, où apparaissaient des images en lien avec les morceaux joués ou des vidéos de ‘John’, le double de l’artiste.
Le public était en folie, hyper heureux de vivre ce show exceptionnel qui deviendra, sans aucun doute, mémorable.
WarEnd a joué pendant plus d’une heure et demi des morceaux de ses différents projets, ponctués par de petites chorés seul ou avec Juice et d’échanges avec le public.
Après l’intro, il a balancé ses morceaux cultes “Intense”, “Feu”, “Froid” et “Muse”, le tout avec des jeux de lumières et des animations sur l’écran posé sur la scène. Le public chantait, dansait, sautait dès les premières notes de chaque son. L’ambiance était tout simplement folle ! War a continué avec un medley bien ficelé, et les titres “Antihéros”, “Tchop”, avant de faire rentrer le spectateurs dans son monde plus sombre, avec “Étincelle”, “No Signal”, “Imposteur”. Avant de lancer le morceau “Naissance”, le rappeur toulousain a parlé de son tout 1er concert : le 27 janvier 2023 dans la salle du Connexion où cette chanson avait été clipée en live. Il a continué d’ambiancer la foule avec les sons “Vision”, “Confiance” et “Mauvaise Ambiance”.
WarEnd a ensuite avoué au public son envie de faire un truc exclusif pour cette date spéciale : un freestyle comme à l’ancienne. Juice a lancé une prod et War s’est mis à rapper. A la plus grande surprise, le célèbre rappeur toulousain OLI (de Big Flo & Oli) est arrivé sur scène sous les cris de la foule et a balancé un freestyle complice avec War.
Après ce petit interlude très apprécié par tous, WarEnd a continué son show avec les sons “Chorale”, “Perle Rare”, Plage Enneigée”, “C’est pire” et le morceau très personnel et émouvant “Réalité” accompagné par Adrien à la trompette. Pour poursuivre cette séquence ,le rappeur a joué “Baltimore”, “Équilibre”, “Néocortex”, “Sukuna” et “Infini” qui a clôturé la soirée avec douceur et sensibilité.
Loin d’être prête à quitter la salle du Metronum, la foule criait et chantait pour que WarEnd revienne sur scène. Le rappel a été incroyable : “Sans nuance” deux fois, dans une immense énergie, avec tous les membres de la team War, incluant les 2 frères rappeurs les plus connus de France, Big Flo & Oli !
Pour résumer, le vendredi 4 mai 2024, il fallait être à la dernière date de la tournée de WarEnd, au Metronum de Toulouse. Cette soirée était à la fois un concert, une ambiance de fête de famille, un spectacle avec des rebondissements et un grand partage avec public ! Merci à WarEnd, Wisley et aux autres acteurs de cette réussite pour ce show historique. Longue vie !

[:en]On Friday May 4, 2024, talented rapper WarEnd ended his EMC Tour at home! in Toulouse, at the Metronum venue. The concert, organized by Bleu Citron, was eagerly awaited by local fans and sold out. WarEnd had invited his friend, another rapper from Toulouse with multiple influences : WISLEY, to perform the 1st part of this landmark concert.Even before the doors opened at 8pm, impatient crowds were lining up in front of the venue’s entrance.In the courtyard separating the entrance and the Metronum venue, WarEnd – or rather his double ‘John’ – welcomed his fans locked in a cage. An artistic gesture which is an integral part of the universe of this unique, multi-talented, ‘out of the ordinary’ artist.
At 8.20pm, the famous DJ from Toulouse @swaveypapi warmed up the room for 15 minutes, playing French and US rap bangers such as Niska’s « Chasse à l’homme », Kalash Criminel’s « 10 12 14 Bureau » and Travis Scott’s « FE!N« .
The audience was in high spirits for WISLEY‘s emotional arrival on stage at 8.40pm.
The rapper with the rich, hybrid style first played his hyper-personal track « Wilfried », which is also the name of his latest EP (available HERE), and followed it up with « La lettre ». After revealing himself with these first 2 sounds to an audience that might not yet know him, the artist set the Metronum alight with the rhythmic, catchy and heady tracks « Olympus » and « SOS ».
Wisley then went on to play « Cœur à la fête », followed by the soon-to-be-released « Rien à perdre », before finishing his show with the banger « C’est Comment », which was instantly taken up by the audience and set off a pogo in the hall.
After the rapper’s excellent, emotionally-charged opening act, the crowd was hot for WarEnd’s long-awaited show.
At 9.20pm, the crowd started chanting WarEnd’s name to get him on stage. 5 minutes later, a few notes of piano, a dark atmosphere and the words « C’est War, là c’est dur d’être concentré » unleashed the crowd !
WarEnd arrived on stage with his sidekick, Juice, the DJ and dancer with infectious energy. Before launching the 1st sound, the rapper tells the audience that he’s happy to be home, explains the meaning of « EMC » (« Etats Modifiés de Conscience ») and that he will take them into his world for the duration of the concert. WarEnd also warns that there will be some surprises on this very special evening !
The show has been designed like a play. A screen accompanies WarEnd on stage, displaying images related to the songs played or videos of the artist’s double.
The audience went wild, overjoyed to experience this exceptional show that will undoubtedly go down in history.
For over an hour and a half, WarEnd played tracks from his various projects, punctuated by little choruses and exchanges with the audience.
After the intro, he launched into his cult tracks « Intense », « Feu », « Froid » and « Muse », all with light effects and animations on the screen on stage. The audience sang, danced and jumped from the first notes of each sound. The atmosphere was simply insane ! War continued with a well-crafted medley, and the tracks « Antihéros », « Tchop », before taking the audience into his darker world, with « Étincelle », « No Signal », « Imposteur ». Before launching into the track « Naissance« , the rapper from Toulouse talks about his very first concert: on January 27, 2023 at the Connexion venue, where this song had been filmed live. He continues to get the crowd going with « Vision », « Confiance » and « Mauvaise Ambiance ».
WarEnd then tells the audience that he wants to do something exclusive for this special date : an old-fashioned freestyle. Juice launches a prod and War gets down to business. Much to everyone’s surprise, the famous rapper from Toulouse, OLI (from Big Flo & Oli), comes on stage to the cheers of the crowd and also gives War a freestyle.
After this much-appreciated interlude, WarEnd continued his show with « Chorale », « Perle Rare », « Plage Enneigée », « C’est pire » and the very personal and moving « Réalité », accompanied by Adrien on trumpet. To continue this sequence, the rapper played « Baltimore », « Équilibre », « Néocortex », « Sukuna » and « Infini » to bring the evening to a gentle and sensitive close.
Far from ready to leave the Metronum, the crowd shouted and sang for WarEnd to return to the stage. The encore was unbelievable : « Sans nuance » twice, with immense energy, featuring all the members of Team War, including France’s 2 best-known rapping brothers, Big Flo & Oli !
To sum up, on Friday May 4, 2024, you had to be at the last date of the WarEnd tour, at the Metronum in Toulouse. The evening was a concert, a family party, a show with twists and turns, and a great way to share with the public ! Many thanks to WarEnd, Wisley and the others who made it happen for this historic show. Long may it live !
